Visual Studio Code on Linux Xwindow forwarding
Xming doesnt have features that are needed by vs code
. Installed VcXsrv and now it works as expected.

User Frank Liu was nice enough to come back and answer his own question, which was to use VcXsrv rather than Xming.
Tauri Development in VS Code Dev Container
This appears to be a problem with the X11 server. I was using VcXsrv before. When I use Xming, the "Multiple Windows" option is working properly. I want to highlight again, that the Nvidia base image and GPU access is not required.
