Aidl Is Missing Android Studio

aidl is missing android studio

I solve my issue, set the build tools version from 21.1.2 to 22.0.1, hope it can help who meet the same.

Android studio 3.1 aidl is missing

I got the answer to my question. Actually I am new macbook user and shifted all my stuff from windows Laptop to this mac.

Silly me I also copied the sdk folder from laptop and set as sdk path. Aidl is missing because my build-tools folder has aidl .exe files which is surely not for macbook.

Do not ever copy sdk from windows laptop to mac. Always use own mac's version sdk that comes along with android studio.

What I did to get past this issue is to first change the build tools to 23.0.1, like so:

compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.1"

and my targetSdkVersion to 23 as well.

And update these parameters in the top level script:

    classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:1.3.0'
    classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:1.3.0-beta1'
