ADT will not allow creation of Android Activity

If you updated to Android SDK Tools version 22.6, you are required to Update DDMS Tools and Plugins.

Go to "Help Menu Bar" -> "Install New software" and install (this will update it)
url: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/

Also update "Developer Tools" and "NDK Plugins" to latest Version.
This steps is useful for me and worked also.

ADT Package 23.0.0 do not allow to create new activity?

I also have the same problem since 23.0.0 release.

The solution is to re-run the SDK Manager and update the version to 23.0.1 that just release today.

However this only update the SDK not the eclipse plugin. The Eclipse bundle with ADT plugin still break.

You need to download fresh new Eclipse from eclipse website and dowload ADT plugin by Install New Software inside Eclipse from this URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse

Adt doesn't create default hello world but command line does

This problem was because of New version of SDK and ADT so to update ADT please add this address: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
** Be aware it doesn't work with exciting address begin with http so go to Install New software in ADT and do these steps:

Then Select this and press Next and Next and accept licence and press finish to download and install:

Now after restart ADT if you create a project it will work another problem i saw was the AVD doesn't work correctly you can not add new device to solve this problem run this command from SDK path:

~/Program/android/adt/sdk/tools $ ./android avd

After add your device go to ADT and open AVD from eclipse and press Refresh

It should work now
