Play Store Alpha Test Download Link Not Working

Google Play Store Internal Testing Link Not Working

Okay after three days, the app is now available in the internal test. It seems that it can take more than two days. So be patient.

Internal Testing Play Store download page shows This item isn't available

We were able to get past this by promoting our app to the Closed Beta (internal early access) track, and adding all necessary details for Google Play to review the app, waiting 2-3 days for the current release to show as "Available", and confirming with the user that it works for them.

Now, more than just downloadable, it's also searchable on the Play Store (as long as the user is in our email whitelist)

Google Play Alpha Testers Link not working

While it does take a while to get uploaded, from my experience, you need to give permissions too and not just distribute the link. This can be done by creating Google Groups or Google+ Communities and adding these after clicking "Manage list of testers" in the Alpha Testing tab in APK section. To give individual permissions click the cog on the left and add email addresses there.

Google App is Published on Internal Test Track but Can't Be Found/Downloaded

If this is the first time your app is being published on a track, it will take a couple of hours to be processed. This is only a one-time thing though, for future updates, the availability will be immediate on the internal test track.

Once the app is available, you'll also need to follow the opt-in link to be eligible for the download of the app.

App not updating for alpha testers on google play

Nothing with Google Play is automatic. They have a caching system much like Apple App Store among others. From my experience, once or twice a day the cache system gets flushed and the market gets updated.

At some point after that, the updates get pushed. This can be a multi-day process unfortunately.

Android Closed Alpha release- can't download version from Google Play

In Google Play, in the page for the app, you need to scroll down to "Join the beta" and tap "Join", even though this is the alpha release, not the beta.
