UPD. Keep in mind however that this is pretty much "cheating" approach, a demonstration of smart usage of language features, but not the most practical algorithm (time O(n), space O(n)). For real life application or coding interview you should definitely use loop solution. The one posted by Jason Sebring in this thread is both simple and efficient (time O(n), space O(1)).

In this example palindrome is True, just to note

Posted palindrome function gives us time from 180 to 210 Milliseconds (in current example), and the function posted below
with string == string.split('').reverse().join('') method gives us 980 to 1010 Milliseconds.

JS How to for palindrome

This is the simplest function that returns true or false if the str is a palindrome or not.
I would use this in combination with the filter function to filter on all palindromes. Like this

function checkPalindrom(str) { //function that checks if palindrome or not
return str == str.split('').reverse().join('');
}

const result = words.filter(word => checkPalindrom(word)); //filter function that filters array to only keep palindromes

Javascript function that checks whether number is palindrome

I'm spotting several problems...

First, you don't want a ; after your i++ in the loop definition. In jsFiddle at least, that's resulting in a syntax error. Other environments may be more forgiving, but it's worth fixing.

Second, the loop condition is wrong:

i < numToStringArray

should be:

i < numToStringArray.length

Third, the logic of the loop is a bit broken. You're returning "It's a palindrome" immediately if the very first pair match. So by that logic "1231" is a palindrome. Instead, only return within the loop if you find that it's not a palindrome. If the loop completes without returning, then return that it's a palindrome:

for (let i = 0; i < numToStringArray.length; i++) {
if (numToStringArray[i] !== reversedArray[i]) {
return "It's not a palindrome";
}
}
return "It's a palindrome";

JavaScript - Find if string is a palindrome - Check for punctuation

You were quite close.

Replace:

if (str[i] != str.length-i)

With:

if (str[i] != str[str.length - (i + 1)])

The last character of the string is at str.length - (i + 1), and you forgot to get the actual character. Instead, you were comparing it with the index of that character.

Now, you could shorten the function a lot:
