How to Run Angular App on Xampp Server

How to run Angular app on xampp server?

Here is my answer.

You can write Angular2 app just using Angular2 packages without using node or mamp or xampp and host that app. Ref

According to the above reference I created my app using angular 2 - cli
after that I made a little change in my root directory index.html file which is:

<base href="/">

into

<base href="./">

and build my app using:

ng build --prod

copy dist folder and paste it in my xampp htdocs folder and access the site using:

localhost:8080/dist/

output

App works

Beginner - setting up local host for Angular app using XAMPP on Windows 7

OK. Got this sorted. I was over complicating things entirely, angular runs sweet on regular XAMPP, no Grunt/ Yeoman etc. required.

All you need to do is: 1. install XAMPP 2. Close Skype 3. Place you app, libraries and everything else in the folder C:\xampp\htdocs\

localhost/Angularappstartpage.html
BOOM!

it works.

You may need to adjust the port number on the localhost (default is 80 e.g. localhost:80/...)

You can also change the root folder in your XAMPP config setup to point to your local GIT.

Do this by changing the line in the HTTPD.conf file (click 'config' on the apache module)

DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs" to DocumentRoot "C:/myLocalGIT"

Hopefully this will help all the new guys out there. Good luck!

How to setup an Angular project on local server that is already running on real server?

That probably might not work.

You would have all sorts of components, services and modules in an angular application. When you build the application for deployment, all these would be compiled. All typescript code is compiled to ES5, SCSS to CSS and everything is bundled in js files. When you download the source from a live server, you are probably getting this bundled version. If you want to develop further on that, you need the actual angular source files from which it was bundled.

Setup AngularJS and NodeJS on Xampp Web server

Scotty Xampp Runs based on file structure, you designate one port using it's settings and then you access folders.

To use Node JS you must install node js and in node js you can set port of your choice and then you can access your content using localhost:your port number.

To make request to server you must make a call using Angular's controller.

If you are a beginner I suggest this tutorial to you.

Check the first video of the playlist, that'll do what you want.

The playlist is for Mongodb as well if your are not using it don't refer to whole playlist. Ask me if you need more clarification.

How to proxy angularjs app to xampp

So here is solution how to do this, i found this great article how to do this, and final gruntfile should look something like this.

// Generated on 2016-11-26 using generator-angular 0.15.1
'use strict';

// # Globbing
// for performance reasons we're only matching one level down:
// 'test/spec/{,*/}*.js'
// use this if you want to recursively match all subfolders:
// 'test/spec/**/*.js'

module.exports = function (grunt) {

How to run my angularJs app into hosted server

Just run grunt which builds a distributable version of your app into the dist folder. You then upload the contents of that folder to your preferred hosting provider.
