Linux - Yum Install GCC - Missing Kernel-headers
Your system is probably configured to exclude the kernel packages.
try:
sudo vi /etc/yum.conf
then comment (or remove the 'kernel*' part):
#exclude=kernel*
Then you should be able to do:
sudo yum install kernel-headers
Edit: Or, as pointed by Andrew Beals, you can simply run:
yum install kernel-headers --disableexcludes=all
I've already installed kernel-devel on centos, still cannot find kernel header
Do you know locate command?
$ locate kmem.h
/usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-514.10.2.el7.x86_64/include/config/memcg/kmem.h
/usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-514.10.2.el7.x86_64/include/trace/events/kmem.h
:-), I think your PATH has error.
yum install gcc error
Looks like you just need to:
yum install kernel-headers

Followed by reboot in case a new kernel gets installed should fix it for you.
helped: the reboot solved my problem, /sbin/vboxconfig
ran smoothly afterwards.
