New Itunes Connect Interface -- Should It Immediately Be Seen on "Prerelease"

New iTunes connect interface -- should it IMMEDIATELY be seen on Prerelease?

Some partial information ...

enter image description here

a build submitted at 1606 did appear on the "prerelease" area at 1651.....

enter image description here

(So, 45 minutes later.)

How did I make it happen? Over on Xcode, I took the same archive, and clicked validate, let it process that, and then clicked submit again. Half way through, the "first" one (from 45 minutes ago) did appear as shown here on the "Prerelease" section. I then just clicked to cancel that second upload (I guess it would have been harmless anyway.) Coincidence? I don't know, but it worked.

So now - it's stuck in "prerelease" section! :O

New iTunes connect interface error You must choose a build

You have to upload a binary for your new App. Then, you wait ~5-20 min while processing and select the plus button and select a binary and save. After that you may Submit for Review. If it takes longer than ~25 min try uploading the binary again.

New Itunes connect : Submitting app for review

Okay So I was able to submit my app for review. I guess you cannot wait too much after you submit your build. I have no proof of this but I think if your build is inactive, you cannot use that build to submit an app. Here is what I did to solve my issue

  1. In xcode I changed the build version, not the app version,
  2. Archive and validate
  3. Submit
  4. While the build was still "Processing", I went back to my apps new version page on iTunes Connect
  5. Choose the new build and submit for review.

Dont let the build become inactive.

Good luck

App submission binary does not show up in iTunes Connect

It is quite weird but let me show what I have learnt from this new iTunnesConnect layout.

Step 1: You should wait around 10 min to 20 min to see your uploaded binary file in the prerelease section. enter image description here .

Step 2: After you wait a while (10-20 min) then you would see the below icon enter image description here

Step 3: Then you could able to see that your binary is ready. enter image description here

Step 4: Then click on plus (+) sign, you now could able to choose your binary and then click submit for review button to finalize.

iTunes Connect binary status Created

So it looks like it was an iTunes Connect bug. I did the following, not sure which step fixed the issue:

  • Changed the BundleID in Xcode for the app and WatchKit extension and app.
  • Deselected team and selected it again to make Xcode generate Development profiles.
  • Manually created and downloaded Distribution profiles, WatchKit app doesn't seem to need one.
  • Changed the BundleID for my app in iTunes Connect. I could do this because no binary was successfully uploaded before.
  • Changed build number and uploaded binary using Xcode.

After some minutes the binary status got cleared and all previous binaries disappeared from the list.

I can now select the binary from the version tab.

I just noticed status emails that were being sent to my Apple ID's secondary email:

Invalid Icon - The watch application contains an icon file with an alpha channel. Icons should not have an alpha channel.

Which was probably the reason of the binaries not being processed. It is still an iTunes Connect bug that this passed Xcode's validation and didn't shown an invalid binary status in the prerelease list.

iTunes Connect prerelease build number warning symbol

It's there because Testflight doesn't support WatchKit extensions right now. You can still submit without any issues.
