My Prerelease App Has Been "Processing" for Over a Week in Itunes Connect, What Gives

My prerelease app has been processing for over a week in iTunes Connect, what gives?

Go to "Resources & Help" in iTunes Connect. Select "Contact Us" and follow the wizard. I don't think anyone other than Apple can answer this. And this is what we have done in a similar situation in the past.

iOS app Processing in iTunes Connect

Yes, this is perfectly normal. You just have to wait for it to finish processing (can take a few minutes or a few hours depending on Apple's traffic). Once it is done processing, it will appear in that builds section and you can select it as the version you want to submit. This is the same for TestFlight.

I recommend getting watchbuild and running it on your terminal so you can just get a notification on your computer when your build is done processing instead of having to keep checking App Store Connect.

itunes Connect build status is processing since a long time and then error:ITC.apps.preReleaseBuild.errors.processingFailed

If you are getting such problem try this options:

  • If it took few hours than wait for at least 2-3 days. This might be occur because apple server is busy or an inbuilt issue from Apple site or they might be working on the site silently.
  • If even after 3 days it shows similar status than prepare new build with Same version number & just changing Build number.

Note:

  • I had faced this issue 2 times during different app uploads.
  • I was getting processing failed status & it was in process for few hours
  • I just waited for 1 day & on next day when i checked error gone automatically & it will ready for submit.

Hope it will help you.

Anyone else's build for iTunes Connect taking longer times to process?

Yes I had the same issue. The build just gets stuck at "Processing" and won't change even after days. This problem occurs when you build and upload the binary with XCode 7. Changing the version or build number doesn't solve the problem.

Solution:
Use XCode 6.4 to archive and upload the binary then your build will be ready within minutes. I still had XCode 6.4 on another machine.

It seems that this problem usually occurs with a major release of XCode. It's worth keeping an old version around. :-)

I hope it helps.

Cheers
